A Eugene kitchen remodel gets a fresh start.
Featured here is a kitchen remodel in Eugene. Their kitchen was outdated, cramped, lacked storage, and closed off from the rest of their house. A remodel was long overdue when they contacted Castile Kitchen & Bath to talk about their project.
Castile’s clients dreamt of transforming their kitchen into a cozy, yet open place to spend time cooking and entertaining their family and friends. The main objectives in this remodel were to extend and open up the kitchen, add bar seating between the kitchen and living room, increase the amount of storage and work space, while keeping the space as light as possible. With Castile’s help, their dream became a reality!
Traditional with a Spin
The renovation started off by removing a wall to extend the kitchen area and lightly reshape the room. Painted custom cabinets were finished in “Lazy Grey”. The Nantucket style doors and drawers are a modern spin on traditional shaker style, bringing a 30 degree beveled edge to the interior of the panel offering an easily cleanable detail. Storage options in this kitchen include a Super Susan, recycling/waste pull outs, a cutting board and a charging port in one of the drawers. The cabinets are topped with an understated “Teltos Alabaster” Granite bringing a stunning simplicity. Floating shelves offer decorative storage to either side of the sink adding a rustic contrast to the space.

A simple and timeless white 3”x6” Subway tile backsplash offers a clean and classic feel to this kitchen. The Italian inspired Marazzi floor tiles in a 12”x 14” “Urban Graphite” glazed porcelain are laid in a traditional running bond pattern.
