Forrest Castile | CKBR, UDPC & Owner
Forrest, a third generation craftsmen, has had a passion for building since he was a little boy. Born and raised in Oregon, he moved to Eugene in 1995. Forrest soon began working on many construction projects for his friends. In 1997, Forrest decided to start Castile Kitchen & Bath. His consistent strive for quality construction, high end craftsmanship and attention to detail, has allowed Forrest to produce beautiful work for his clients. As the years have gone by, Forrest has integrated the utmost importance of integrity and incomparable customer service within Castile Kitchen & Bath, creating a company known for quality while exceeding client expectations.
Forrest and his wife Jen have been married since 2008, and now have small kids Ben and Emma. He enjoys spending time playing with his kiddos, hiking, running, racquetball and remodeling their 1920’s house.

Mariko Peters | ALA & Kitchen & Bath Designer
Mariko brings years of experience to her work as a designer for Castile Kitchen & Bath. Since obtaining her professional degree in Architecture from North Carolina State University, she has worked in architecture and the lighting industry. Before joining Castile Kitchen & Bath, Mariko served as a certified ALA lighting specialist.
In her own words: “Everything has a life and offers an opportunity for design, from the smallest to the largest project. A commitment to design is a way of life”. Mariko brings this attention to detail and commitment to quality and excellence to every project she works on. She would be honored to have the opportunity to share her unique view and sense of design with you, the client.

Carissa Ambers | Kitchen & Bath Designer
Carissa, a native Oregonian, started her design career in 2009. She holds a degree in Interior Design combined with over 20 years of experience working in the construction field. Carissa is passionate about designing kitchen and bath spaces and feels inspired by the clients she gets to serve. Highly organized and creative, she is described as compassionate, patient, loyal, and a great listener. Carissa loves getting to spend time with clients designing their dream space.
Outside of designing, Carissa dedicates her time to running an Etsy shop where she sells antiques and homemade crafts. She also enjoys spending time outside camping, hiking, and fishing. She and her husband reside in Springfield, Oregon but they love to travel. They particularly love to visit the coast, Portland, or Olympia. If Carissa described the perfect day it would involve, getting up late, going to brunch, and visiting estate sales!

Daegan Palermo | Design Consultant
Eugene native Daegan Palermo combines deep community roots with a passion for creating thoughtful, livable spaces. As Castile Kitchen & Bath’s Design Consultant, he’s your first point of contact—here to guide and support you through every step of the remodeling journey.
A natural communicator and engaging presenter, Daegan brings a grounded, people-first perspective to the Design-Build process. Known for his humor, transparency, and upbeat realism, he excels at building trust and uncovering creative, practical solutions that fit your lifestyle.
After several years pursuing an acting career in California, Daegan returned to Eugene to start his family and channel his talents into helping people solve real-life challenges in meaningful, hands-on ways. Outside of work, you’ll find him biking, hiking, camping, cooking, and enjoying time with his family.

Rich Barnes | CRPM, CLC & Production Manager
Rich grew up in Eureka California, attended College at Arizona State, moved to Washington and Michigan and finally settled with his family in Bend, Oregon. In 2006 he relocated to Eugene. Rich is a veteran of the construction industry. He shows remarkable and reliable intelligence on multiple aspects of any job he has been presented with!
Rich has two adult children, Derek and Raeann, who also live in Oregon. He loves to watch college sports, especially Ducks games as he is a huge fan. He enjoys grilling outdoors and considers himself a great cook. In his spare time, Rich will golf, kayak, bicycle and backpack; basically any activity he can do while outdoors to enjoy the beautiful Oregon he calls home.

Jesse Jones | CLC & Lead Carpenter
Jesse was visiting Oregon from his hometown of Inyokern in California with his family in 2012. Shortly after his visit, Oregon called him back and he decided to make a permanent home here with his family. Jesse has several years’ experience with various types of construction-related trades. Jesse came onboard with Castile Kitchen & Bath motivated and hit the ground running as the carpenter’s assistant, quickly rising to become a qualified carpenter. He brings to work an enthusiasm and drive, always prepared for whatever the day may bring!
Jesse and his wife Sheree have three boys: Jesse, Andrew and Mason. Jesse enjoys playing and watching sports as well as fishing and camping. While in Eugene, Jesse and his wife like to find new and fun places to eat, as well as go to both Ducks and Emeralds games.

Todd Byars | Lead Carpenter
Todd serves as a Finish Carpenter for Castile Kitchen & Bath! Originally from Lake Tahoe, California, he began his career after graduating high school. One of Todd’s biggest work accomplishments during his time working in Tahoe was turning a condominium complex in severe disrepair into a thriving and desirable community. Todd had earned his title as a craftsman and brings his talent and skill set here to Castile Kitchen & Bath daily. He sets himself apart in the industry with his positive optimistic attitude and humble nature! The most exciting part of his job is bringing joy and satisfaction to the clients he serves.
As an outdoor enthusiast, Todd moved to Eugene in 2022 to enjoy all Oregon has to offer. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, and spending time with his family. While Todd is proud of all three of his children, he is inspired by his oldest daughter who is currently working on her Ph.D. Todd is known for his quick-witted humor and for finding the positive in everything!

David Hook | Lead Carpenter
David, a third-generation carpenter, brings a wealth of experience as a Lead Carpenter for Castile Kitchen & Bath. His journey in the construction industry began in 1996 when he joined his family’s marble and tile business. Professionally, he is distinguished by his exceptional communication skills, passion, and unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality work. Over the years, David has achieved many notable milestones, one of them being building the home where he and his children live.
Moving frequently around the United States as a child, David eventually settled in Oregon. As a young adult, he found a passion for music as he picked up drumming and DJing at nightclubs. To this day, David’s love for music endures, as he taught himself to play the bass guitar. Beyond his professional endeavors, David enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, disc golfing, and cheering on the Oregon Ducks.

Mark O’Brien | Lead Carpenter
Mark brings over three decades of hands-on experience in high-end carpentry and custom cabinetry to his role as Lead Carpenter at Castile Kitchen & Bath. His career began in 1986 with a humble cleaning job at a cabinet shop near his childhood home in Rancho Cucamonga, California—but it didn’t take long for him to realize he was right where he belonged. Inspired by the scent of fresh-cut lumber and the rhythm of well-worn tools, Mark followed his passion for craftsmanship into a lifelong career. He’s worked for top-tier shops, owned his own custom cabinet business, and built a reputation for precision, integrity, and unmatched attention to detail.
In 2020, Mark left California in search of a slower pace and deeper sense of home—landing in Eugene, where he now brings his skill and dedication to every project at Castile. Whether managing complex builds or refining the smallest finishes, Mark is known for doing things right, and doing them well. When he’s off the clock, you’ll find him riding back roads on his motorcycle or browsing the aisles of his favorite outdoor store, always chasing his next adventure.

Autumn Hopwood | Marketing
Meet Autumn, Castile Kitchen & Bath’s Marketer! Autumn joined the team in 2021, bringing a refreshing blend of experience from her background in education, clinical counseling, and writing. Eager for a new challenge, she dove headfirst into the design-build world and hasn’t looked back. From exploring showrooms across the country to attending top industry conferences and building valuable connections, she has immersed herself in the remodeling world. Autumn is set apart by her talent in transforming ideas into stunning realities, elegantly showcasing Castile’s remodels, and adding a touch of sunshine to every project. Autumn’s favorite part of her role? Connecting with clients to hear their stories and seeing how their revamped spaces have made a positive impact on their lives.
When she’s not crafting compelling marketing content, Autumn enjoys cooking, baking, hiking, gardening, and painting. She’s achieved some impressive milestones, including a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail and visiting all 48 contiguous states before turning 30. Since relocating to Oregon in 2020, Autumn has fallen in love with chasing waterfalls, frequenting coffee shops, and embracing Eugene’s iconic fog and rain. Originally from Missoula, Montana, she and her two cats are delighted to call Oregon home!

Terrie Wilson | Bookkeeper
Terrie serves as Castile Kitchen & Bath’s bookkeeper. With over 20 years of financial and customer service experience in the remodeling industry, Terrie brings decades of knowledge to her profession. With a lifetime love of numbers, Terrie returned to school in the early 2000s to pursue a degree in accounting. Terrie brings a deep and thorough knowledge of accounting and financial principles to work with her each day and is quick to learn and take on new systems and skills. She is known for her hard work, attention to detail, loyalty, and big heart making her an asset at Castile and within the industry. Besides graduating from college, her long successful career in the construction industry is one of her greatest achievements.
Terrie was born and raised in Springfield, Oregon, but now resides in Veneta, Oregon. She and her husband own a large piece of land where she enjoys gardening and tending to her goats and chickens. Outside of work she enjoys curling up with her dog to read a good book, knitting, or taking trips to the coast!
