Luxurious Master Bath Remodel

This page features a luxurious bathroom remodel completed in a residence in Eugene located near Autzen Stadium, home of the U of O Ducks football team! When the Cummings’ contacted Castile Kitchen & Bath, they were looking to improve the look and feel of their outdated and worn master bathroom. They wanted to transform the space into a tranquil oasis that they could use to decompress and relax after a long day at work.
As the couple began working through Castile’s custom design process outlining specific goals and design preferences their vision began to come to life. Flooding the room with natural light and maximizing the usability of the space were a few of their objectives. In order to create the serene space that they had envisioned they also wanted to incorporate a lavish steam shower.
Elegant & Modern
An oversized custom natural walnut vanity brings a rich elegance to the room. The vanity design offers ample storage within the doors and drawers, a sleek modern shelf spans the bottom of the cabinet allowing for abundant and easy to reach towel storage. A “Leathered Ubatuba ” granite countertop and backsplash caps the Hickory adding a pleasing visual and tactile texture. The Matching Fluerco luna halo mirrors create a luxurious, modern look while enhancing the contrast of the porcelain white oval undermount sinks embellished with a Doux Widespread Two-handle Lavatory Brushed Nickel Faucet.

After entering into a Design Agreement, they then decide on the best functional use of space, discover previously unseen design opportunities, and present the design objectives as seen here. They move into the four primary selections of Cabinetry, Countertops, Flooring, and Wall Surfaces. Their secondary selections consist of all other small design details including Lighting, Fixtures, Trim Details, and the final remaining options for the project. Upon final review they finalize a Construction Agreement.

The large walk-in shower is enclosed with two pony walls capped with tempered glass. Round pebble shower flooring couple beautifully with the 12”x24” Mapierre beige shower tiles, blending natural textures with earthy, calming tones. A Thermasol steam generator envelopes the shower with a luxurious warm steam, turning this shower into a deluxe steam room.

To accommodate the steam shower, open the space, and bring light into the room, the water closet and a small closet in the bedroom were removed. A partition wall was built between the bedroom and bathroom, stopping a few feet below the ceiling creating an open space above, allowing the two rooms to share light. Clerestory windows were installed on the south south wall of these two spaces flooding the two rooms with light. Tempered windows were installed in the shower and toilet area, again illuminating the room with a cascade of bright natural light. Take a look at the before and after!
