Castile Kitchen & Bath was thrilled to be back at the Lane County Home and Garden Show this year! The team was ecstatic to be able to connect and mingle with our trade partners, clients, and members of our beautiful community! While the last two years have been incredibly hard on small businesses in Lane County, it was amazing to see what our community has been up to and the strides we have all made despite the hardships!  

Our Co-Owner, Forrest had the opportunity to take the stage twice during the Home and Garden Show to educate our community on remodeling! Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop by and listen or check out our booth!

The mission of NAMI Lane County is to improve the quality of life for individuals living with a mental health condition and their family, friends, and loved ones through support, education, and advocacy. It was a beautiful day to show support for Lane County as well as connect with current and former clients! We look forward to walking again next year!

Owners of Castile Construction Inc., Forrest and Jen, headed up to Portland with their lead carpenters for the Journal of Light Construction Conference. This was a great opportunity to explore the newest tools, supplies, and building techniques in the industry. The team spent a full 3 days taking various classes and attending seminars on construction-related topics. It was a great opportunity to meet with the vendors and share best practices.

It was also an incredibly rewarding opportunity for the team to help build beds for “Sleep In A Heavenly Peace” – an organization based out of Eugene that builds and donates beds to children in need. SHP is a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. Their organization has grown steadily over time, and they are working on opening more chapters in different states to serve more people.

Before everyone left on Friday, everyone volunteered some time to help build beds for this wonderful organization. All the beds that were built at the show are now being donated in Eugene to children in our community.

One of Lane Counties best kept secrets, in our opinion, is DevNW (formerly Nedco). Owner, Forrest Castile teaches a class on basic home maintenance at DevNW for their first time home buyers every few months. The passion that Forrest brings to the class as well as wanting to help people protect their greatest investment makes it worth going through the first time home buyer program alone. With his extensive knowledge and engaging approach he can’t help but encourage classroom questions and comments. Even people attending his home maintenance class who have a good idea about how to care for your home will learn a thing or two before the class is done.
