When the Tom’s contacted Castile Kitchen & Bath, they were looking to maximize the space in their guest bathroom turning it into an inviting space with a classic feel reflective of the style of the rest of their vintage home.
A subtle reshaping of the wall separating the shower and the toilet area gave the once cramped space ample room for both components. The vanity was moved to the left adjoining a floor-to-ceiling cabinet, this created substantial storage and gave the room a more open and functional feel.
The custom vanity features timeless shaker style doors with slab drawers painted “Colonial White” with a satin finish. The 2CM Pietra Grey Polished Caesarstone Quartz countertop was installed with matching 4″ backsplash creating a striking contrast to the cabinetry. A simple white porcelain American Standard “Ovalyn” undermount sink was used, bringing an elegant contrast with the deep grey countertop. Adorned with a simple American Standard “Portsmouth” 2-handle Widespread High-arc Bathroom Faucet in polished chrome brings a classic and timeless ambience into the space.
A cultured marble shower surround in “Blizzard” envelops the 60″ American Standard “Americast Cambridge” bathtub. The surround features a corner mounted soap/shampoo combo niche and splash guards encase the edges of the bathtub. The cultured marble brings a simple and pristine look to the room while providing durability and an easy to clean surface. Embellished with a polished chrome American Standard “Portsmouth” Tub/shower Trim Kit and “Spectra Plus” Handheld Shower Slide Bar Kit brings a versatility of use, creating a place to relax and unwind that meets everyone’s bathing needs.
Durable and waterproof CoreTec Plus Enhanced Tile Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring was installed in “Dorado”, achieving a realistic stone look, gracefully harmonizing the room. The bathroom door was replaced with a single panel craftsman style door painted in a matching colonial white and LED can lighting methodically placed bringing ample lighting to the room.
