Kitchen Remodeler in Cottage Grove’s neighboring Creswell
When the Vandervort family contacted Castile Kitchen & Bath, they had a vision for a simple and sleek kitchen with more work space, better workflow, and an updated contemporary design. Having just moved into their new home, they were anxious to make it look exactly how they wanted.
Their vision was a far cry from the existing kitchen, which was cramped, dark, and outdated in both design and functionality. Fortunately, Castile Kitchen & Bath’s personalized design process allowed the Vandervorts to bring that vision to life!
The first step was to install Huntwood shaker cabinets with full 18” deep upper cabinets. The lower cabinets around the sink are standard 24” deep cabinets, but with the use of 30″ cabinets around the range, extra storage and work space was able to be created. This two tone kitchen consists of “Colonial White” painted upper cabinets and Cherry stained in “Arctic Grey” lowers creating a beautifully balanced contrast that characterizes a simple yet refined minimalism design.
MSI Quartz countertops were then installed in “Babylon Gray” with a concrete finish and flat polished edges. The matte finish offers subtle undertones and muted hues while letting the “Arctic White” backsplash take center stage. The subway tile backsplash was installed above the range to the top of the upper cabinets, then capped with crown molding to match the adjacent wall above the sink, helping to keep this space light and bright. This gleaming porcelain backdrop adds a timeless and classic warmth to the space, while balancing out the darker accents.
A lustrous brushed stainless steel hood vent was then installed, tying in the other stainless steel appliances to achieve a refined contemporary look.
Golden glass pendant lights brilliantly illuminate the space and offer ample overhead lighting for cooking and cleaning.
The Vandervorts enjoyed the entire design and remodel process to make their dream kitchen a reality.
