Eugene Kitchen Remodel 2017
Light and bright, this recently remodeled kitchen now feels open to the outside as well as the rest of the house. This South West hills Eugene home is nestled in the tree’s. By keeping the large picture window as the center focus of this kitchen and removing the bank of upper cabinets this stunning view is to be enjoyed from anywhere in the living space.
The top picture shows the completed job, but it began with a simple kitchen Sketch as shown below.
As you can see from the photo below this kitchen was dark and cramped, with it’s closed in floor plan, dark cabinetry and wood paneling even with the existing picture window.
Now look at the following pictures. Notice how moving the refrigerator helps open up the space as well as provide this clients with more usable work space. Also, with the use of the light maple cabinets the incoming light from the picture window reflects of the cabinets brightening up the space.
With a few small changes to this kitchen layout and a change in the color scheme this remodel has changed the feel of this family living space. It was also created more space for this family to be in the kitchen together, as their two teenage kids continue to grow.
